Educational Advice and Support
There is a broad range of advisory and support roles that contribute to the delivery of the council's education services.
There are non-teaching staff in schools such as bursars, lunchtime assistants, catering staff and caretakers. There are a range of advisers and inspectors such as education welfare officers, school improvement managers and curriculum advisers, who focus on raising academic standards, increasing attendance and combating truancy. There are also staff who work on school transportation planning and delivery.
